After Care

  • Keep Your Lips Hydrated: Hydration is key to the healing process and color retention. Apply a recommended lip balm or ointment (usually provided by your technician) frequently, especially during the first few days after the treatment. Avoid using regular lipsticks or products with harsh chemicals that can interfere with the healing process.

  • Avoid Touching or Picking: It's essential to resist the urge to touch or pick at your lips during the healing phase. This can disrupt the healing process and result in uneven color retention or potential scarring. Let your body naturally shed any dry or flaky skin.

  • No Direct Sun Exposure: Protect your lips from direct sunlight, as UV rays can cause the pigment to fade prematurely. If you plan to be outdoors, wear a wide-brimmed hat and use a lip balm with SPF. Sun exposure can also increase the risk of swelling or blistering.

  • Avoid Hot and Spicy Foods: For the first few days after the lip blush treatment, it's advisable to avoid hot and spicy foods, as well as very hot beverages. These can cause discomfort, increase swelling, and disrupt the healing process.

  • Limit Makeup and Skincare Products: Be cautious when applying makeup or skincare products around the lip area during the initial healing period. Harsh products and chemicals can affect the pigment and cause irritation. Use mild, hypoallergenic products if necessary.

  • No Swimming or Saunas: Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, or saunas during the healing phase, as the chlorine and heat can affect the tattooed area. Extended exposure to water can also lead to premature fading

  • Be Patient: Lip blush treatments typically go through several phases during the healing process. Initially, your lips may appear darker and more intense than the desired result, and they may experience some swelling. Over time, the color will soften and settle to its final shade. Allow at least two to four weeks for the full healing and color stabilization process.
